2009 Winter Meeting
We praise the Lord for a tremendous meeting in Phoenix, Arizona in February. Our uheme was "Rivers in the Desert". The fellowship was warm, as always. The preaching seems to "ring the bell" every time we meet. It is a real testimony that we are going away from these meetings refreshed and revived. 2009 GIBM Deputation School
Our fifth annual candidate school for new missionaries serving with Global Independent Baptist Missions will be held August 26 -28, 2009 in Lewisville, Texas. As the moderator of the Global Independent Baptist Fellowship, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting this website. Please take a few minutes to search out the pages of this site. It is designed to give you information about the purpose and philosophy of the preachers who are part of the GIBF.
The GIBF was formed in November of 2000 at a meeting held at the Cleveland Baptist Church. The purpose of this fellowship is to promote and encourage church planting of old-fashioned, Bible-believing and Bible preaching Baptist churches, both in the United States and on foreign soil.
As Independent Baptists, we realize that we have no authority over individual Baptist churches, pastors, missionaries or evangelists, but we do believe that God gives us a measure of influence. Therefore, those who align and fellowship with the GIBF are men who believe in the Baptist distinctives, separation from the world, and godly standards.
